Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (IATA: (CTUICAO: ZUUU) Simplified Chinese: 成都双流国际机场; pinyin: Chéngdū Shuāngliú Guójì Jīchǎng) is the major airport in Chengdu, China. It's the fifth busiest airport in China and 96th all over the world. The airport started service in 1938 as a military airport in the second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. Now it's an international civil airport with flights to more than 20 international destinations and most domestic airports. There's an express-way connecting downtown Chengdu with the airport, and the planned subway system will connect to the airport as well. It's located in the north of Shuangliu County, about 16km southwest from the downtown of Chengdu. It has the IATA Airport Code CTU. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (Simplified Chinese: 成都双流国际机场; Pinyin: Chéngdū Shuānglíu Guójì Jīchǎng) is the major airport in Chengdu, China.
The airport started service in 1938 as a military airport in the second Sino-Japanese War and World War II.
It's located in the north of Shuangliu County, about 16km southwest from the downtown of Chengdu.
