ChesterCounty was one of the three original counties of Pennsylvania created by William Penn in 1682.
In the county, the population is spread out with 26.20% under the age of 18, 7.90% from 18 to 24, 30.40% from 25 to 44, 23.80% from 45 to 64, and 11.70% who are 65 years of age or older.
