Chevrolet News | Chevrolet Matiz 0.8 SE automatic (460 words)
The new Matiz, which was launched in June 2005, is already one of the most manoeuvrable cars on the road today and the automatic transmission adds a further dimension to the car’s ease of use.
Matiz is perfectly suited to an urban environment with its compact dimensions (length x width x height: 3,495 x 1,500 x 1,495 mm) and with its small turning circle of 9.20 m, the five-door Chevrolet Matiz fits into any parking space.
The Matiz 0.8SE automatic has a four-speed auto transmission and is only available with the thoroughly updated 796 cc three-cylinder engine with 51.5 PS/50 BHP and a maximum torque of 71.5 Nm at 4,400 rpm.

The Daewoo Matiz is a city car made by GM Daewoo (in Poland by FSO, and in Pakistan by Nexus Automotive).
This new 2005 Chevrolet Matiz did not score well in the Euro NCAP crash test, being awarded three stars with one being struck out: "The final adult occupant protection star is struck through because there was an unacceptably high risk of life-threatening injury to the chest in side impact."
Some Daewoo Matiz owners in the UK have taken to flashing their lights and beeping their horns at each other as they pass, in much the same way as VW Beetle owners did in the 1960s.
