BERLIN (AFP) - Singapore Airlines chief Chew Choon Seng is furious with Airbus over a delay in delivering its giant A380 airliners and could sue the European aircraft maker for damages, he said in an interview to appear next week.
Chew said SIA would now be focussing on Boeing rather than Airbus, given that SIA would now be receiving 19 Boeing 777-300ER airliners before the A380s, instead of after.

The announcement was met with fury by SIA's CEO, Chew Choon Seng, who threatened to sue Airbus.
On 26 March 1991, Singapore Airlines Flight 117, on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, was hijacked in mid-flight by four Pakistanis who demanded that the plane be flown to Sydney.
CEO Chew Choon Seng was reportedly "furious" with Airbus over its delays in delivering the A380 airliner and was said to be considering a suit for damages.
