Unlike the CSL, the Jia League does not seem to have any standard common name or abbreviation in English, however, it seems to be called simply the "China League". It is currently made up of twelve teams, playing home and away with the top two to be promoted, replacing the two bottom teams in the CSL.
Season 2006

In Round 11, a 3-2 victory over eighth placed Yanbian keeps Guangzhou Pharmaceutical top of the table, one point ahead of Zhejiang Lücheng who beat Nanjing Yoyo 2-1. Unbeaten Henan Jianye moved into third after a 3-3 draw with seventh placed Jiangsu Shuntian, one point ahead of Qingdao Hailifeng. Chengdu Blades are fifth with Nanjing Yoyo sixth. At the bottom of the table, two successive wins have ensured that Nanchang Bayi have joined Shanxi Aosen Luhu on seven points, to give them a five point lead over basement club, Hunan Xiangjun. On top of their early league success, Zhejiang Lücheng produced the upset of the China FA Cup second round with a 2-0 away win at China Super League outfit Beijing Guo'an and set up a two-legged quarter-final meeting with Shenzhen Kingway. They are the last China League side in the competition.
