Chocomel is a chocolate flavoured milk, produced by Riedel (a brandname owned by Friesland Foods) in the dutch town, Ede. It was formerly produced by Numico. Chocomel is widely available in the Netherlands and in Belgium (in Belgium under the name of Cécémel). In the Netherlands, the brand is so widely known it is sometimes incorrectly used in a sentence instead of "Chocolate milk" ("chocolademelk" in dutch), even if it is actually a different brand.[citation needed]
