Chouchen is an alcoholic drink popular in Brittany. It is made from the fermentation of honey in water. A 7 proof drink, it is comparable to mead.
Chouchen is drunk cool, generally as an aperitif. There are different kinds of chouchen in Brittany, some of which are prepared with a mixture of seawater as well as fresh water and honey.

Obtained with a mixture of honey and of hydromel, it is a soft and voluptuous alcohol.
According to mythology, the chouchen was the drink of the elves and it corresponds marvelously well to this Brittany full with Tales and Legends where Druides are there with fantastic fairies and other characters.
