Typically, he writes his drum parts after other band members have brought him some riffs and ideas. As seen on the Killadelphia DVD, Adler tries to create unique music while not taking anything away from the riffs or the song itself. Utilizing strong symmetry in his drumming and being highly skilled in his double bass work, Adler also creates unique sticking patterns to go along with his unique double bass playing style.
