The All-American Rejects - Gig Reviews - Music - Entertainment - smh.com.au (431 words)
All-American Rejects drummer Chris Gaylor has discovered the secret to songwriting on a recent Canadian tour, while fishing on Lake Ontario.
Gaylor was besotted by drumming after hearing the Rolling Stones' classic Paint It Black at age seven.
Gaylor believes the band survived its recent brush with MTV glitz because of the sobering effects of touring keyboardist Tim Jordan's suicide last year and their loyalty to their upbringing in the humble, tornado-belt town of Stillwater.
