Professional Career

John started boxing bums in his early childhood and was trained by his father Johan Tjahjadi (aka Thjia Foek Sem), a former amateur boxer. John is the third Indonesian to win a boxing world title, following Ellyas Pical and Nico Thomas. John turned professional in 1997 and is known as "Thin Man". Ellyas Pical (born 24 March 1960 in Saparua) was the first world boxing champion from Indonesia, and was three times IBF Super flyweight champion (1985 – 1989). ...
