Christine Shin is a writer/director who was originally born in Korea. She moved to the United States by herself at the age of 16 to follow her dream as a filmmaker. She received her B.A. degrees in Communication Arts and English Literature from University of Wisconsin in Madison and her M.F.A. degree in Production from USC School of Cinematic Arts. Her graduate thesis film Janie has received numerous awards such as Cine Golden Eagle Award and has been invited to over 30 festivals including Newport Beach Film Festival, Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, and Heartland Film Festival. Janie also had its TV premiere on KCET (PBS) as a part of 2006 Fine Cut Series. Created in 1998, Coca-Cola has given out the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmakers Award to a student winner of their competition. ...
