Christopher Ward is a Canadian songwriter and broadcaster, best known as a former long-standing on-air personality at MuchMusic, Canada's music video network, where he and J.D. Roberts were the first two video jockeys in 1984. He has also written many songs and performed as a musician with acts such as Alannah Myles (her chart-topping hit "Black Velvet") and Ming Tea, the celebrity rock band assembled with comedian Mike Myers for the first Austin Powers film to perform the faux-sixties song "BBC". He also recorded at least two solo albums before his stint as a VJ, and an EP during his broadcasting career. MuchMusic (often called Much) is a 24-hour Canadian cable music and variety television channel based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which debuted on August 31, 1984 as one of the first Canadian cable specialty channels on the air. ...
