- c.1850 B.C.E.- Date of the Flood of the Holy Bible is between 1850-2050 B.C.E.; it correlates with the traditional date of the second deluge of Sangam history and the inaugration of the third KUtal Academy. Chola king Musukunthan son of Maanthu Aaththivael Chola, is mentioned in Sivapuraanam as the king during and after the flood .
- c.1050 B.C.E.- Traditional date of Ramayana is 1050 B.C.E.; Chola king Kaanthaman is mentioned in this epic around this period and in Sivapuraanam .
- 970 B.C.E.- In the Old Testament, Solomon is said to have trade links with the East, and receive peacock feathers, akhil, silk, muslin ,spices and gems from the port of Ophir(Ovir,Overy).
- c.900 B.C.E.- Traditional date of the Mahabharatha war. Perun-CORRu Utiyan CEral-Aatan sends food to the warring sides.
- 505 B.C.E.- Mahavamso mentions URai-Tittan a.k.a. Upa-Dissan, the second son of Tittan goes to SriLanka, turns their RajaGuru. His son ascends to the throne in the island nation when its native leader is dead.
- 500 B.C.E.- Start of Sri Vijaya empire by Nediyoan in ancient Sumatra and Malaya .
- 480 B.C.E.- An emperor of Magadha, invades the South, is blocked and defeated by the Pandian king Arivudai Nambi. As the only great emperor of the Sisunaga and Nanda dynasties to have invaded the south was Ajatta-Satru(490- 465 B.C.E.), the invader is deemed to be him.
- 271 B.C.E.- Chola king ILan-CEt-Cenni and his alliance of Tamil kings drive out a Mauryan invasion and captures and liberates Kadamba kingdom and its capital Paazhi(PuRanAnURu). As the last war waged by Mauryans and the only war of Asoka(268- 232 B.C.E.), was that on Kalinga(260 B.C.E.), and because the Satavahanas arise in South Kalinga after the death of Asoka, this war is deemed to have taken place at the latest during the dark years just after Bindusara's death(272 B.C.E.).
- 237 B.C.E.- Mahavamso documents a Tamil merchant Gutigan( Kudignan) with his merchant navy fleet, by Chola king Senni's( Senna) order, conquers SriLanka.
- 205 B.C.E.- Mahavamso mentions Tamil prince Ellaalan conquering SriLanka and ruling there for 41 years.[1]
- 185 B.C.E.- Kabilar I, the Tamil poet preaches Brihadratta, the last Mauryan king about truth, non-violence and uncertainity of life on earth .
- 157 B.C.E.- Kalinga king Kharavela mentions in the Hathigumpha inscription about the unbroken alliance of the Tamil kings for 113 years.
- 70 B.C.E.- Andhra Kalinga king Mukkanha aka Thrilosana defeated by Karikala the Great .
- 31 B.C.E.- Traditional date of Thiruvalluvar's arankeRRam of Thirukural.
- 21 and 25 B.C.E.- A Pandian king sends ambassador to the court of Augustus Caesar(Periplus and Pliny).
- 13 C.E.- A Greek record of the meeting of a merchant delegate meant for Emperor Augustus.
- 109 C.E.- Chera king Cenkuttuvan visits Gangetic plains while accompanying his mother who wished to take bath in the Holy Ganga river . He defeats all the kings who opposed him .
- 112 C.E.- CilappatikAram says Cheran Cen-KuTTuvan builds Kannagi temple . Later he renovated the temple further with the rocks brought by the Kushana prince Kanishka and his brother Vasiska, and their aide -king Vijayalaya of Taxila carried on their heads, after defeating them at the Quilaluva battle . Kanishka was defeated near Mathura by the Chera with the aid of his friend Noorruva Kanha aka SataKarni II, the Andhra Kalinga king .
- 113 C.E.- Mahavamso the SriLankan chronicle, mentions king[2] GajaBahu visiting Chera king Cenkuttuvan on the festive occasion of inaugration of the Pattini Deivam-Kannaki Koil worship [3].
- 118 C.E.- Manimekalai turns saint; period of Prince MaavaN Killi and his brother King Kulamurrattu tunciya Killivalavan.
- 141 C.E.- Halley's comet appearance recorded with the sudden demise of Yanaikat-sey Mantaran Cheral.
