Charles Schley Mercein (born April 9, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is a former professional American football player who played running back for six seasons for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins and New York Jets. As a pro, Mercein is best remembered for his performance in the Packers' game-winning drive in the 1967 NFL Championship Game, known popularly as the Ice Bowl. That day, he ran six times for 20 yards, and had two receptions for 22 yards, most of which occurred in that game's final drive.
