Chuck Mosley was one of the original singers of the alt rock rap metal band Faith No More. He featured on their debut album We Care A Lot and on their second, Introduce Yourself.
After Faith No More, Moseley featured as singer and guitarist in Cement (albums Cement and Man with the Action Hair), who also featured on compilations Buy This Used Compact Disc: A Dutch East India Sampler and 'Just Add Water' and recently singer and guitarist in VUA (Vandals Against Illiteracy) (sic) with their album Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food.
Originally distributed through Canadian label Mordam Records, it fell by the wayside and went largely unacknowledged until its reissue a decade later (even the sleeve notes for the band's subsequent Slash releases refer to 1987's Introduce Yourself as their debut LP).
This album features the band's original line-up of Mike Bordin on drums, Roddy Bottum on keyboards, Billy Gould on bass, Jim Martin on guitar and ChuckMosely on vocals.
In 1996 it was reissued on CD and vinyl in the UK and Japan with slightly modified artwork.
After a pair of albums created a buzz in the alternative rock underground (1985's We Care a Lot and 1987's Introduce Yourself), Mosely found himself at odds with his bandmates due to unpredictable behavior both on and off the stage, which led to his ousting from the band in 1988.
Early in the '90s, Mosely joined up with Washington, D.C., hardcore icons the Bad Brains, but before anything could be recorded by the Mosely led lineup, the singer bailed (complaining that the group wanted him to sound too much like their previous singer, H.R.).
Mosely then formed another group, Cement, a quartet that issued a pair of albums, 1993's self-titled release and 1994's Man With the Action Hair, before splitting as well.
