Since 2004 Ciceu (Csíkcsicsó) forms an independent commune with the village of Ciaracio (Csaracsó) with a population of 2,628. Formerly part of Siculeni (Madéfalva) commune (check demographics there for ethnic composition). The commune has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority.
