The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music was a conservatory formed in 1867 by Clara Baur as part of a girls' finishing school. After years of competition with the College of Music of Cincinnati, the two schools merged in August 1955 to form the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and were later incorporated into the University of Cincinnati on August 1, 1962.
