It started in 2005, making it the first one of its type in the world (Cash Daily, based in Zurich, Switzerland, followed in 2006). It is completely owned by itself as CITY A.M. Limited. The paper covers business and finance news aimed at young business professionals in the City, with the format of a tabloid with lighter amount of text and more colourful pictures as well as having diary, lifestyle and sports sections.
