The Greater Taree City Council is a Local Government Area on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, centered on Taree. It was formed in the late 1980's by merging the Shire of Wingham, Shire of Taree, and the Manning Valley Shire and includes the towns of Taree, Cundletown, Wingham, Tinonee, Old Bar, Kolodong, Harrington, Wallabi Point, Manning Point and Islands, Crowdy Head, Croki, Coopernook, Hannam Vale, Johns River, Stewarts River, Krambach, Dyers Crossing, Nabiac, Possum Brush and Hallidays Point.
