The City of Melbourne is a Local Government Area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the central city area of Melbourne. It has an area of 36 square kilometres. In 2001, it had a population of 46,000.


The current Lord Mayor is John So. The Melbourne City Council (MCC) holds office in Melbourne Town Hall.
