Creation of the long awaited Civil Aeronautics Authority, in compliance with the Civil Aeronautics Act of 1938, marked the beginning of a new era in the relations between the Federal Government and the aviation industry.
The most significant civil aeronautics development in 1938 was the passage of the Civil Aeronautics Act and the resulting appointment of the Civil Aeronautics Authority.
