Gameplay

Xbox 360 version.

Civilization Revolution is similar to the PC titles in the Civilization series. It is a turn based strategy game in which the player can take 16 different civilizations, each with special abilities, from prehistory to modern times and recent future. For the console version, the gameplay has been streamlined and simplified to make the game easier to play for newcomers to the series.[citation needed] A victory can be achieved in four ways. Domination (destroy all other civilizations), Culture (create 20 great persons, wonders, or converted cities), Economic (create the world bank), and Technological (be the first to reach alpha centauri). Possibilities of a Wii edition

On February 4, 2008 2K Games and Firaxis announced that the Wii version of Civilization Revolution was put on indefinite hold due to lack of manpower and no PlayStation 2 or PlayStation Portable editions of the game to share assets with. Firaxis programmer Scott Lewis explained, "CivRev was originally a Xbox 360/PS3 project and was in development for over a year before the Wii/DS platforms were added. The result was that the time and effort it would have taken to remake a game built for higher-end hardware from the ground up would simply have been too costly."[12] On June 10, 2008, Sid Meier reaffirmed plans to develop a Wii version, stating that Firaxis had "no intentions of turning backs on [the Wii version]."[13] is the 35th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. ... 2008 (MMVIII) is the current year, a leap year that started on Tuesday of the Common Era (or Anno Domini), in accordance with the Gregorian calendar. ... 2K Games is a video game publishing subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive. ... The tragedy of the civil war is precisely that the impact of the war and isolation on Russian society increasingly reduced the scope of political decisions and choices available.
The consolidation of the revolution across the country, and the rebuilding of the economy to a sufficient level to generate a rise in living standards for the majority and guarantee soviet democracy was a herculean task.
The strangulation and isolation of the revolution was the aim, and the eventual outcome, of foreign intervention.
American Civil Rights Movement (1955-1968) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (5640 words)
The Civil Rights Movement in the United States has been a long, primarily nonviolent struggle to bring full civil rights and equality under the law to primarily African American citizens of United States.
Up through 1955 the civil rights movement in the South had largely been fought in courtrooms: while the NAACP had chapters throughout the South that attempted to register voters and protested discrimination, those efforts were often uncoordinated, while local authorities regularly harassed those organizations and the activists in them.
The march had six official goals: "meaningful civil rights laws, a massive federal works program, full and fair employment, decent housing, the right to vote, and adequate integrated education." Of these, the March's real focus was on passage of the civil rights law that the Kennedy administration had proposed after the upheavals in Birmingham.
