Claudy (from the Irish: Clóidigh meaning "Washing river") is a village in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, six miles southeast of Derry. It is situated at the point where Fore Glen and Glenrandal join the Faughan Valley. It had a population of 1,316 people in the 2001 Census. It has two primary schools, a church and a college named St Patrick's and St Brigid's College. Claudy has a local Gaelic Athletic Association club run by local man Vincent McCloskey. Claudy is home to two rival football clubs, Claudy United and Claudy Rovers. The village also has a local leisure centre called the Diamond Centre. It has sporting, gym and IT facilities.
