Clearmont is a city located in Nodaway County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 191.

Geography

Clearmont is located at 40°30'31" North, 95°1'59" West (40.508589, _95.033112)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²). 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 191 people, 98 households, and 53 families residing in the city. The population density is 433.8/km² (1,133.0/mi²). There are 116 housing units at an average density of 263.5/km² (688.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 99.48% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.52% from two or more races. 1.05% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 98 households out of which 20.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.9% are married couples living together, 7.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 44.9% are non-families. 41.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 20.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 1.95 and the average family size is 2.67.

In the city the population is spread out with 18.8% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 19.4% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 26.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 46 years. For every 100 females there are 76.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 74.2 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $17,361, and the median income for a family is $36,250. Males have a median income of $26,500 versus $17,083 for females.
