Bucci states that the Alfa was only imported into Argentina on a temporary “Carnet” which expired at the end of the year.
Bucci further relates that he then contacted Eva Peron and on his behalf she personally arranged for the sale of the car directly from Argentinean Customs to Bucci.
Bucci continued to race the car well into the 1950s including several tries in the Argentine Grand Prix in 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953.

His only major achievement was to qualify on the front row of the grid at Pescara, albeit 23secs a lap lower than Stirling Moss.
Bucci ran second in the race but crashed.
