Goldie earned his name as a graffiti artist in the West Midlands in the early eighties, his artwork around Birmingham and Wolverhampton featured heavily in Afrikaa Bambaataa's feature film documentary Bombing (which was broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK).

He took part in the largest ever British graffiti art battle along side Bristol artist 3D who later went onto form Massive Attack. He is also mentioned for his grafitti in the book Spraycan Art by Henry Chalfant & James Prigoff, which contains several samples of his art.

In 1986 he moved to Miami, Florida and started a business selling engraved gold teeth. Something he has turned into a trademark.

In 1992 he produced his first track as Ajax Project while he was doing some design and A&R work for 4 Hero's Reinforced label.

His next tunes Killa Muffin and Menace were put out under an early moniker Rufige Kru on the Metalheadz Records label he founded, one of the most respected record labels in the drum'n'bass scene.

His first well-known track was Terminator in 1993. His first globally released album, Timeless, followed two years later. Timeless shot straight into the album charts at number seven, which was a first for a drum 'n' bass record. The album fused the breakbeats and reggae flavored rapping common in jungle with a heavier bassline and soulful female vocals. The album's title track was a 21-minute symphonic piece. "Inner City Life" from that album sold over 15,000 copies on vinyl.

With his reputation firmly established, he released his second album in 1998, Saturnzreturn. The album's opening track, "Mother" is also an hour long orchestral drum and bass piece. The remainder of the album features appearances by David Bowie, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, and KRS-One.

84844 -- Price v. State -- Green -- Kansas Court of Appeals (1587 words)
Price moved under K.S.A. 60-1507 for conversion of his sentence, claiming he had served the maximum 20-year sentence for his rape conviction and, therefore, the rape conviction should not be counted against him in determining his eligibility for conversion of the sentence for aggravated burglary.
Price asserts that he was on conditional release for his aggravated burglary conviction on July 1, 1993, and because aggravated burglary was a severity level 5 offense, he is eligible for conversion.
Price relies on this language as evidence the DOC considered him to be serving the sentence for rape during the first 20 years of his sentence.
