Clinton County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of 2000, the population was 37,914. It is included in the Lock Haven, Pennsylvania Micropolitan Statistical Area. Its name is in honor of the seventh Governor of New York State, DeWitt Clinton. It was created on June 21, 1839 from parts of Centre and Lycoming Counties. Its county seat is at Lock Haven6.
