Clyde is a village located in Nodaway County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 74.


Geography

Clyde is located at 40°16'2" North, 94°40'8" West (40.267333, _94.668963)1.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 km˛ (0.2 mi˛). 0.4 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 74 people, 25 households, and 22 families residing in the village. The population density is 168.1/km˛ (430.4/mi˛). There are 27 housing units at an average density of 61.3/km˛ (157.0/mi˛). The racial makeup of the village is 98.65% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.35% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 25 households out of which 44.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.0% are married couples living together, 8.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 12.0% are non-families. 12.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.96 and the average family size is 3.18.


In the village the population is spread out with 32.4% under the age of 18, 13.5% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 4.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 28 years. For every 100 females there are 76.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 78.6 males.


The median income for a household in the village is $36,250, and the median income for a family is $36,250. Males have a median income of $26,458 versus $28,750 for females. The per capita income for the village is $15,684. 13.9% of the population and 12.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 22.2% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

Hamer studied Bonnie and Clyde's movements and found they swung in a circle skirting the edges of five midwest states, exploiting the "state line" rule that prevented officers from one jurisdiction from pursuing a fugitive into another.
Clyde Barrow is buried in the Western Heights Cemetery, and Bonnie Parker in the Crown Hill Memorial Park, both in Dallas, Texas.
