A peculiar trait in this unit is the fact that when Snake defeated a member, they would blow themselves up, via a minibomb. This is fail-safe in case they were captured by the enemy. There are exceptions to this. The Sorrow does not use such explosives (his body can be seen in an R1 first person view sequence after Snake has bandaged himself up at the end of the Virtuous Mission), and The Boss presumably does not do this either, although the area where her body was located was later heavily bombed by a group of MIGs. |
