Cocentaina (seldom known as Concentaina) is a town located in the comarca of El Comtat, in the province of Alicante, Spain. It has an area of 52.8 km2 and, according to the 2002 census, a total population of 10,567 inhabitants and a population density of 200.13 inhab/km2. The city is located between the Sierra of Mariola and the river Serpis. The economy of Cocentaina is chiefly based on the textil industry.
