The doggy position (also known in Latin as coitus more ferarum ("sex in the manner of a beast"), in the French language as levrette ("greyhound bitch"), in Italian language as pecorina (little sheep), and commonly referred to as doggy style) is a popular sex position. This position is known as the Union of the Cow in the Kama Sutra.
In the doggy position, the woman crouches on all fours, spreading her legs slightly, while the man crouches over her, and penetrates her vagina with his penis from behind. Note that this is not the same as anal sex.
The Doggy position
This position is similar to that used for mating by quadrupeds such as horses and dogs, hence the name.
A feature of the doggy position is that penetration is quite deep. The man is also free to pleasure his partner with his hands and there is relatively little fatigue involved. However, some women may find this position to be humiliating. There is an absence of direct eye contact. Further, it may be painful for the woman if the penis bumps the cervix, and achieving alignment between the penis and the vagina may take practice. Other women, however, find this position to be the most pleasurable.
Some people feel this position is very primitive and animalistic; because of this some feel it is demeaning, while others view these associations as a major source of excitement instead.
Many people do not regard this position as demeaning in any way for either partner, and enjoy the position for its own merits.
Pornography (from Greek πόρνη (porni) "prostitute" and γραφή (grafi) "writing") (more informally referred to as porn or porno) is the representation of the human body or sexual activity with the goal of sexual arousal.
In more modern times, the term was adopted by social scientists to describe the work of men like Nicholas Restif and William Acton, who in the 18th and 19th centuries published treatises studying prostitution and proposing to regulate it.
More generally, disseminating pornography to a minor is often illegal.
Broadly speaking, the term sexual intercourse may refer to any sexual activities between people, but it is commonly (and in this article) confined to the meaning of coitus or copulation, the insertion of the erect penis of the male into the vagina of the female.
Coitus is the basic reproductive method of Homo sapiens as of all mammals.
Coitus interruptus, or "withdrawal" of the penis from the vagina just before the man's orgasm, cannot be considered an effective method of contraception and is not recommended.
