Cold 187um born Gregory Hutchinson in Pomona, CA was the lead act of pioneering G-funk rap group Above the Law along with KMG, while growing up in the Inland Empire Cold 187um was into classic jazzy p-funk music, and even became a member of Pomona's Ghost Town Crips although Cold 187um has been wearing some red in his music videos to show respect for both gangs, Cold 187um and his group would eventually be the next act for Eazy-E's own Ruthless Records until 1996 when he switched to Tommy Boy Records, Cold 187um is also known for his fued with Dr. Dre and Kurupt for taking his G-funk sound, but later in 2002 Cold 187um produced an album for Tha Dogg Pound, called Dogg Pound 2002 with an average G-funk sound, unlike in 1994 when Above the Law released Uncle Sam's Curse, Cold 187um aka Big Hutch has been working with Dirty Red, Kokane, Leicy Loc, Knight Owl and Yella during his free time.
