Colebrookdale Township is a township located in Berks County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 5,270.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 21.7 km² (8.4 mi²). 21.7 km² (8.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

As of the census² of 2000, there are 5,270 people, 1,994 households, and 1,529 families residing in the township. The population density is 243.1/km² (629.3/mi²). There are 2,030 housing units at an average density of 93.6/km² (242.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.69% White, 0.19% African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, 0.08% from other races, and 0.49% from two or more races. 0.34% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 1,994 households out of which 33.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.4% are married couples living together, 8.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.3% are non-families. 19.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.64 and the average family size is 3.03.

In the township the population is spread out with 24.1% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 13.4% who are 65 years of age or older.
