Coleman A. Young International Airport (IATA: DET, ICAO: KDET) (formerly known as Detroit City Airport) is a municipal airport in Detroit, Michigan. It was formerly served by commercial passenger services of Southwest Airlines, who abandoned it for failure to upgrade facilities, Chautauqua Airlines, who left due to poor load factors and high operating costs, and Pro Air which was based at the airport and was grounded by the FAA due to poor maintenance performance. Its passenger terminal lies largely vacant save for the operations of the US Customs department serving private and cargo aircraft.
