One of the larger of the islands in Clew Bay, Collanmore Island has a base of Glenans Ireland, a non-profit sailing school. The base teaches dingy and catamaran sailing and sail-boarding. Collanmore enjoys magnificent views of Croagh Patrick and the bay. It is accessed by boat from Rosmoney pier, a few miles from Westport, County Mayo.
