College Fjord is a fjord located in the northern sector of Prince William Sound, Alaska. Sixteen tidewater glaciers, most named after renowned US East Coast colleges, make this a picturesque destination for cruise ships.
The names of fourteen of the College Fjord glaciers are Amherst, Baby, Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Crescent, Dartmouth, Downer, Harvard, Holyoke, Smith, Vassar, Wellesley, Williams, and Yale.
CollegeFjord, which branches off of Prince William Sound, plunges into the heart of the Chugach Mountains.
Glaciers on the northwest side of CollegeFjord are generally named after 19th century "women's colleges." Vassar Glacier is located north of Wellesley Glacier and south of Bryn Mawr Glacier.
Dominating the terminus of CollegeFjord is Harvard Glacier, a tidewaterglacier noted for its very active calving.
CollegeFjord is frequently subject to poor weather with rain and fog common.

Entering the fjord, it was extremely cold at the forward portion of the Lido Deck, but a few of us hardier souls got bundled up, and huddled for warmth in the few places where the wind didn't bite too badly.
