The College of New Rochelle is a private Catholic college with its main campus located in New Rochelle, New York. The College was founded in 1904 by the Order of the Ursulines. Other colleges are found a short distance away. The oldest School of the College, The School of Arts & Sciences, is, as it was in 1904, dedicated to the education of women. It offers courses in the liberal arts, pre-med, pre-law, communication arts and business. The three newer Schools (School of Nursing, School of New Resources and the Graduate School) are open to men and women. CNR offers four residence halls with all rooms wired to the College's network, enabling students to have their own e-mail address, access to the Internet, personal phone line, and cable television in their room, if they choose.
