Colleges Against Cancer was founded in 2001 by college students Rich Bajner, Jeff Ceretto, and Amy Garrison. They helped start the first CAC chapters at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and Northern Illinois University. By 2007, Colleges Against Cancer had over 350 recognized chapters at schools across the nation. At each school, the organization focuses on four strategic directions: Advocacy, Cancer Education, Survivorship, and Relay For Life. Relay For Life (often shortened to Relay) is a fundraising event of the American Cancer Society, and is now held in many other countries. ...
