Colopus is a monotypic genus of Gekkonidae that is found in the Kalahari desert, in the nation states of Botswana, Namibia, and the Republic of South Africa.

It is found only on the Tsodilo hills in the northwest of the ecoregion.
Near-endemics include Kalahari purple-glossed snake (Amblyodipsas ventrimaculata), Kalahari ground gecko (Colopus wahlbergii), and Leonard’s spade-snouted worm lizard (Monopeltis leonhardi).
