The mall, which opened in October of 1968, is accessible off of Columbia Center Boulevard, the most-traveled north-south street in all of Kennewick (besides perhaps Highway 395). Since May of 2006, the mall has been undergoing another expansion, and facelift. New additions to the mall include redesigned restrooms, a Simon Kidgits Korner, Kitty Kruzzers, and soft seating by Kennewick General Hospital. With a two brand-new "lifestyle" buildings erected in the front of the mall, new stores have since opened, including: Ann Taylor Loft, Lids, Starbucks, Verizon Wireless, Coldwater Creek, Talbots, and more. P.F. Chang's China Bistro and Famous Dave's restaurants will be built on the Gage Boulevard side of the property, with the old Columbia Center Cinemas being demolished to make more room.
