In April, commencement invitations are sent from the school to the parents or guardians of each senior.
In addition to these commencement invitations to parents or guardians, each senior will be given four commencement invitations that he or she can send to other family members or friends whom they expect will be coming to campus for commencement.
Commencement announcements look and act very much like commencement invitations, except that they serve to inform people who are unable to come to campus for commencement that someone whom they know will be graduating from Phillips Academy.
