Minister of Commerce, Science and Technology, Phillip Paulwell has announced that the Bureau of Standards would be reviewing the formula for the application of import monitoring fees.
The Commerce, Science and Technology Minister said that during the last financial year, the Bureau of Standards was one of two agencies that came off the Central Government budget and had been steadily improving its own financial situation.
Turning to the other agencies under his charge, the Minister said, “in the area of revenue enhancement, we are equally determined that all our agencies should maximize their own sources of revenue so as to lessen the dependence on the Consolidated Fund”.
