Communication design is a sub-discipline of design (sometimes referred to as Graphic Design) which is concerned with how media intermission such as, print and digital pieces of work communicate with people in a visual way. The gpa requirement for transfer students who plan to major in Visual CommunicationDesign is the same as that for admission to Eastern, a 2.00 cum gpa in all college-level work.
Graduation from the Visual CommunicationDesign program requires a 3.00 grade in Tech 263 Visual CommunicationDesign I and Tech 363 Visual CommunicationDesign II; a 2.50 cum gpa is required for all other departmental course work.
Notes: Visual CommunicationDesign students should have one year of high school drafting; otherwise, TECH 100 Engineering Drafting I (4 credits) will be required.
