Communication Management System is a term used in the telecommunication industry to describe such products as call accounting, ACD reporting and billing collectively. CMS usually implies a complete telemanagement portfolio of products to acquire metrics from telephone and other communication devices.


These products are generally used by telecom or communication managers to look at telephone traffic, ACD queues, voice mail or auto attendant performance. Statistics are vital in measuring misuse and abuse, network flow, regional distribution and carrier tariffs.
