The Communist Party of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Комуністична партія України, Komunistychna Partiya Ukrayiny) is a political party in Ukraine, currently led by Petro Simonenko.
The party was founded as the Communist Party (Bolshevik) of Ukraine, or CP(B)U, at its congress in Moscow in July 1918.
Under the guidance of Kaganovich, Kosior, and Postyshev, the Communist Party of Ukraine took part in the organization of the man-made famine of 1932-33, which took millions of lives.
