The name Communist Party of Sweden (Sveriges Kommunistiska Parti, abbreviated SKP) has been used by several political parties in Sweden:

  • Communist Party of Sweden - used 1921–1967 by the party today known as the Left Party.
    • Communist Party of Sweden - In 1924 the SKP leader Zeth Höglund split, forming his own Communist Party of Sweden (which later merged with the social democrats in 1926).
    • Communist Party of Sweden - In 1929 the majority of SKP were expelled from the Communist International, forming their own parallel SKP. This party, led by Karl Kihlbom and Nils Flyg evolved into the Socialist Party in 1934.
    • Communist Party of Sweden - used 1973–1987 by the party previously known as the Communist League Marxist-Leninists (KFML).
    • Communist Party of Sweden - used since 1995 by the group previously known as the Workers' Party - the Communists (APK).
      • Communist Party of Sweden - when APK folded in 1995 party veteran John Takman founded his own SKP. This party did not sustain activity for long.
      • Communist Party of Sweden - similarily as the Takman group another group emerged out of APK in 1995, taking the name SKP. This group was led by Sten Gunnarsson, Jonas af Roslagen and Ingvar Lööv.
