The Communist party of the Netherlands (CPN, in DutchCommunistische Partij Nederland) was a communistparty of the Netherlands. It was founded in 1909 and ceased to exist in 1991 as it merged together with several other left-wing parties into GroenLinks, in 1992 some of the old members founded the New Communist Party of the Netherlands.
