Community High School District 155 is a local school district serving areas of McHenry County, Illinois. The current Superintendent of this district is Dr. Jill Hawk. Community High School District 155 includes Cary, Crystal Lake, Fox River Grove, and Prairie Grove, and is approximately 45 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The communities are largely residential, with some light industry and a large number of commuters. Except in rare cases, all teachers are teaching in their academic major. A large majority hold master's degrees or beyond. Twenty-two guidance counselors, nine social workers, two school psychologist, four nurses, and a full spectrum of related and special education services complement the teaching staff. There are four comprehensive high schools as well as two alternate education centers, grades 9-12, with full recognition and accreditation (State of Illinois and The North Central Association).
