Compassion In World Farming is a European based animal welfare charitable organisation, which has branches in the United Kingdom, China and Ireland. It was founded in 1967 by a Hampshire dairy farmer called Peter Roberts (7 June 1924 – 15 November 2006) in response to the growth in factory farming^[1].
