The video for the first single was set-up to be directed by David LaChapelle on September 15 but on September 20th both, David LaChapelle and Madonna announced that David would not be directing Hung Up due to creative differences. The video was set-up to be directed by Johan Renck on October 5, October 6, and October 8. But because of extended rehearsals the video was re-scheduled to be shot on October 8 and October 9.
